Autosweep vs Easytrip: Which System Should You Subscribe To?
The question of what is the difference between Autosweep vs Easytrip arises when RFID (or Radio Frequency Identification) started to be implemented. For those who don’t know, the system uses electromagnetic fields for identification of tags attached to objects. The tech is ultilized in a wide range systems, including concerts, events, and possessions.
What Corner4men wants to talk about here is the RFID as tollway tags, which is actually two systems, not one, Autosweep and Easytrip.
Autosweep vs Easytrip
Easytrip
The company behind Easytrip is Metro Pacific Tollway. This electronic tollway collection system is for any vehicle running CAVITEX (Cavite Expressway), SCTEX (Subic Clark Tarlac Expressway), and NLEX (North Luzon Expressway).
With an Easytrip tag on the windshield, a vehicle can drive on Easytrip toll lanes cash-free. And when it does so, sensors on the lane will detect the tag and automatically subtract the fee from owner’s account.
Vehicle owners have the choice to choose among the company’s three products, including EasyDrive RFID sticker tags, tags, and RFID stickers. The latter two can get you through CAVITEX, SCTEX, and NLEX while the former can only be used for CAVITEX.
Here is how you can subscribe:
Step 1: Go on to Easytrip’s website and subscribe for RFID.
Step 2: You will get a reference number, print it out and present it at installation sites at CAVITEX, SCTEX, and NLEX. Please bear in mind that you need to bring your vehicle to one of these site within 24 hours after submitting the subscription.

- Easytrip RFID sticker: PHP 500.
- Easytrip RFID tag: PHP 2,000 (with PHP 300 for initial load).

To check the balance, go on Easytrip website or Android app. You can reload at SM business centers, Petron gasoline stations, Easytrip head office, Shell gasoline stations, or reloading stations at CAVITEX or NLEX Toll Plaza.
Autosweep
Autosweep is for those traveling on Apolinario Mabini Superhighway, NAIAX (NAIA Expressway), SLEX (South Luzon Expressway), and Skyway. This system works similarly to Easytrip. So as you can see, the main difference between Autosweep vs Easytrip is the roads they cover.

The second location is the headlight
The last is the license plate. There are mixed reviews about the effectiveness of Autosweep vs Easytrip stickers sticked on this location so we highly recommend waiting for the implementation of the new sensor system before you consider the license plate.
Can I use one account for both Easytrip and Autosweep?
Yes, technically you can. But you will have to wait in a very long line at either Autosweep or Easytrip installation sites.
What should I do if sensors can’t read my RFID?
In case sensors fail to read the RFID, all you have to do is to present your account card to the attendant. This process is no different between Autosweep RFID vs Easytrip RFID.
What to do if I rarely go on expressways?
Unlike the hefty penalty LTO imposes on expired motor registration in the Philippines, the deadline of December 1, 2020, is for expressway operators and owners only. Motorists can still install RFIDs after this day. Please bear in mind that you have to visit the installation sites before entering expressways. Since the account will be activated immediately, you can go on your way without any issue.
