The Bell House was built more than a century ago and was not damaged by the Baguio earthquake in 1990. It is named after the person who built it and owned it - General Franklin Bell.

Activities in Camp John Hay #2: Cemetery of Negativism

Rate: 3.5/5

“Goodbye negativity, hello positivity ” - If you are full of bad vibes, welcome to the place to bury all your bad thoughts!

Located on a small slope at John Hay, built in the early ‘80s of the 19th century, this place is a core part of the historical value of the monument.

The founder of Cemetery of Negativism is General John Hightower, with the purpose of making a place to put your negative thoughts, feelings, and attitudes six feet under.

The entrance here is stretched by cut stone, alternating dreamy red pine forests with a lot of fake tombstones buried the negative things.

Along the way, you will meet a lot of graves with many different pessimistic vibes but do not worry. It does not create a creepy feeling, vice versa, and it helps you to relieve your worries.

The idea of building a “cemetery ” might be crazy, but it has a beautiful meaning. The cemetery of negativity encourages visitors to let go of the unhappy matters, start enjoying the things around them, and finding peace in their souls.

The drawback here is that you have nothing much to do but visit the fake tombs, and because of the unconscious behavior of a few tourists, there is a lot of trash along the way.
